Rainbow Travel and Cruise Ribbon Cutting

The world watched the Super Bowl on Sunday, but in La Mesa, we had our own “All Star” game on Wednesday, January 30th at Rainbow Travel and Cruise. There was “standing room” only as Phyllis Dorfman and her staff were the MVP’s of the night! Phyllis served delicious hors d‘oeuvres and had a representative from AmaWaterways River Cruises that gave away three valuable raffle prizes to all the winner’s delight. Phyllis in her “first-class” tradition, decided to add a $100 travel voucher as a fourth raffle prize. The crowd went wild! Phyllis spoke to the crowd about her travels and experience with a passion that is unmatched by many. She has been serving people for 35 years and during that time, she and her staff have visited over 160 countries and cruised on over 100 ships. All of these festivities were added to the “official” ribbon cutting that happened at 6:15 p.m. Certificates of appreciation for being a part of the business community were presented by Victoria Floyd, representing Supervisor Dianne Jacob and La Mesa Council Member, Kristine Alessio. The Chamber presented Phyllis with a new membership plaque and certificate as well. A good time was had by all! We encourage you to stop by and introduce yourself to Phyllis and her capable staff located at 8285 La Mesa Blvd.
