You don’t have to be a sports fan to know that if you attended the July 17th evening mixer hosted by North Island Credit Union, located at 7968 El Cajon Blvd. in La Mesa, that you were playing in the “big leagues.” No one was on the bench that evening! Everyone in the room was an MVP and the North Island team were “suited up” and ready to “play ball.” The high energy in the room was overwhelming. People were laughing and engaged in meaningful conversations. The fun “first pitch” began at 5:30 p.m. Little Roma was the food and beverage provider for the evening and Sergio and his team “hit a home run.” There were tables with chafing dishes laden with different kinds of pastas, salads, cheese and cracker dishes, salami wrapped hors oeuvres, mozzarella cheese sticks and more! Add freshly-baked Italian breads served to the “line up” and you have a “grand slam.” To add to the evening’s all-star roster, desserts were prepared and served by Bethlehem Baking Company, completing the evening’s gastronomic pleasures.
During the evening the crowd heard comments from Summer Yousif, La Mesa Branch Manager, Therese Caballes, Regional Manager and were pleased to meet and hear from Patrick Zarifian, Senior Vice President & Chief Experience Officer. North Island hosted a HUGE raffle basket that was given away to an evening’s lucky “fan” and the chamber added to the prizes. During the final inning, Summer Yousif was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation from the chamber for 15 years of dedicated membership, along with a membership plaque to complete the evening’s all-star “game.”
