The La Mesa Chamber of Commerce held the first breakfast meeting of the year on Wednesday, January 18th. The featured speaker of this popular series was Supervisor Dianne Jacob.
Supervisor Jacob is serving her final term, after being re-elected for her historic 7th term. The Supervisor shared information on various activities within the county, but the permitting changes in agriculture are significant. East county has many wineries and other businesses in that industry. Now wineries may serve food in their tasting rooms, which increases the sales ability of their products. Positive permitting changes are good for the business community.
The sponsors of this breakfast meeting were: Carl Burger Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM World, who are constant supporters of the La Mesa Chamber and the community. The dealership is currently going through a remodel and General Manager, Kyle Nyswonger shared this fact and that this remodel will be complete soon. The Chamber plans to host a grand opening and ribbon cutting when the entire project is completed. The other sponsor of the breakfast was Hornbrook Center for Dentistry. Dr. David Hornbrook was an engaging speaker and shared the new procedures in oral dentistry and the new procedures used for dental implants. Dr. Hornbrook, a native of La Mesa, is ranked as one of the top 3 cosmetic dentists in the world. He has pioneered a new approach to smile transformation to provide dazzling smiles. In addition to a great breakfast prepared by the competent staff of Marie Callender’s, lots of prizes were awarded to lucky winners at the end of the meeting.
