On Monday June 8th, the “jockeys,” also known as the workers, were getting ready for “post time” which was 5 p.m. for the VIP ticketholders of the 7th Annual Taste of La Mesa. While the site was preparing for this feeding extravaganza, the “horses,” also known as the restaurants and vendors, were getting their linens, displays and food prepared to be ready at the gate for the 5 p.m. post time. The site had been groomed, the floor plan had been completed for all of the tables, chairs and other items to make this “race” a success. The “colors” known as our table linens were proudly displayed on all of the tables and belly bars to make the event festive and inviting.
This year’s Taste of La Mesa was another crowd pleaser, with delicious samplings of food from 29 restaurants to pleasure everyone’s palate. The business vendors who participated also had a great time interacting with the crowd and offering opportunities for the guests to enter various raffle drawings, which were held at the end of the night. A highlight of the evening was the photo booth that allowed guests to take photos as a keepsake of the event. Thank you to FotoBoothImages.com!
Thank you for the time and talents of the restaurants and staff in creating food items that were unique and delicious. We also thank sponsors who partner in this popular community event, as well as the Sponsor Vendors who take time out of their busy schedule to arrive early, set up and wait for the “gates” to open. See all the fun-filled photos and video and get ready to attend the 8th Annual “Taste” next year!
