Surf Rider Pizza Co. Ribbon Cutting

The La Mesa Chamber new year began with a bang! The first event of this year was a “standing room only” evening held at the new Surf Rider Pizza Co. at 8381 La Mesa Boulevard. What happens when you transform a piece of property into a brand new restaurant, that has two outdoor patios, an indoor bar and dining area, complete with an onsite bakery? It’s called our own Surf Rider Pizza Co. heaven! As guests arrived, they were greeted and received complimentary beverage tickets and made their way to the counter to choose their “slice” of piping hot, hand-tossed pizza. The fun, food and beverages flowed from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

During the evening guests were able to meet the Founders, Hilary Rossi and Rachel Musico, as well as the leadership team of Chris Conyers and Mike Mast, who were joined by other members of their team for photos. Go to our photo gallery to take a look at all of the evening photos. This warm and friendly new establishment not only offers East Coast style pizza and sandwiches but has an onsite bakery that bakes great delights that will totally tempt your sweet tooth. Remember to either include dessert with your visit or take a cake, cookies or other delightful pastries home with you.

The Founders Hilary Rossi and Rachel Musico and members of their team were presented certificates of appreciation and welcome to our La Mesa business community by: La Mesa Mayor Dr. Arapostathis, Michael Chase representing Congressman Duncan Hunter, Andrew Hayes representing Senator Brian Jones, Edmond Perkins representing Assemblywoman Shirley Weber, Victoria Floyd representing Supervisor Dianne Jacob and a welcome membership plaque from the La Mesa Chamber of Commerce. A champagne toast immediately followed the presentations, raffles were held, and a good time was had by all. When planning to dine in La Mesa, we encourage you to stop by for lunch, dinner or drinks and grab a “slice” of this great East Coast style pizza and grub. Surf Rider Pizza Co. is located at 8381 La Mesa Boulevard in the La Mesa Village. For more information: http://surfrider.pizza.
