The La Mesa Chamber of Commerce invites you to join them on the first Friday of every month in 2020 at the “First Friday Night Market” Chamber beer garden. The beer garden will include a portion of the beer garden situated in the front area of Fuddrucker’s along with seating. Tables and chairs will also be scattered throughout the entire side area of Fuddruckers’s for the convenience of attendees. Visit the beer garden and dine and sip beverages under the stars in La Mesa. The following styles of Mike Hess Brewing Company’s beers being offered are: Into the Sunset, Blood Orange IPA, Hop Cloud, the first of their Hazy IPAs, and Steel Beach, a crisp light-bodied and refreshing lager beer, that defines craft lager beer. Local Roots Kombucha will also be served. Local Roots is known for a drink that is authentic, bold and tailored to an active lifestyle. Local Roots only uses organic ingredients and cold-pressed juices, while minimizing sugar and maximizing flavors. The styles that will be available are Cali Mule, a west coast take on the classic and Strawberry Mojito, which is advertised as summertime in a glass. These options will enhance the evening for those that wish to partake of alcoholic beverages, while enjoying this FREE family-friendly evening.

The Rainy Weather on Friday, December 6th Did Not Dampen the Spirits of the Volunteers at the “First Friday Night Market”
On Friday, December 6th the weather was cold and rainy, but that did not dampen the spirits of the dedicated volunteers that managed the “First Friday Night Market” beer garden at Grossmont Center. The Chamber is grateful to our volunteers for “sticking it out” during the short rainfall and then stayed with us as the weather cleared up, Diana Silvas came out around 3 p.m. to help set up in the weather and did not let the weather keep her from her task of putting all of the items in the proper place, as well as help set up the serving and cash area. We want to thank the following volunteers who are our “Stars” of that evening and worked that night: Laurel Cruz, Diana Silvas, Athena Hernandez, Brian Sack, Mike McCorkle, Nicci Slack, Melissa Estrada and Jade Enguito. The evening had quite a few attendees despite the rain and as the sky cleared, the night was crisp and beautiful. The people were lined up to purchase their favorite vegan foods and enjoying this monthly event.
The Chamber will NOT be managing a beer garden in January but are making plans to produce a great time for people wanting to sip on Mike Hess beer and Local Roots Kombucha on Friday, February 7th 2020. Join us in the New Year at the FREE family friendly “First Friday Night Market” in Grossmont Center, located at 5500 Grossmont Center Drive in La Mesa. The “First Friday Night Market” is located in the parking lot between Chuze Fitness and Fuddruckers during the hours of 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. As you enter the parking lot – look for the tents, the decorative lights, the tables and chairs, listen for the music, and look for the crowd gathering to enjoy this festive evening in La Mesa! See you at the beer garden on February 7th in the New Year!
