The crowd was happy to welcome Kawaii Sushi to our business community and the “official” ribbon cutting and mixer was held on Wednesday, May 15th. This has been a long time coming and we are thrilled that Tammy and Tony Nguyen and her family are able to open their doors to our region. The food was plentiful, as Tammy kept bringing out food for our guests who dined on fabulous sushi, egg rolls, pot stickers and more throughout the night! The joyful crowd gathered for the Official ribbon cutting outside of the restaurant and the applause was loud as we finally welcomed this family-owned business to our community. Vice Mayor Laura Lothian was on hand to add her welcome remarks and help in the celebration of this new restaurant in La Mesa. The chamber presented Tammy with her membership plaque and gave her our warm heartfelt congratulations too. Tammy and her husband work tirelessly each day to prepare and serve the freshest sushi and other items that are sure to please.
