An overflow crowd attended the March 27th mixer and ribbon cutting at one of the newest La Mesa Chamber member hotels, the Legacy Resort Hotel & Spa located at 875 Hotel Circle South in Mission Valley. The outstanding hors d’oeuvres were served buffet style and were also tray passed. The sliders were a definite hit! The Legacy Center where our mixer was held, had ample tables, chairs, and belly bars to accommodate our guests. The room looked stunning when you entered, and you were immediately captivated by the HUGE rotating globe in the center of the room. We thank the hotel for placing our Chamber name and logo on that globe, along with the hotel signage. The rotating globe makes this room extremely unique and a one-of-a-kind venue for events and activities!
This fun-filled evening was kicked off in the Legacy Center by a welcome from the hotel General Manager, Brad Naucler. He was presented with a certificate of recognition by Assembly Member Akilah Weber’s representative, Moana Alo. Chamber President & CEO, Mary England made presentations and was joined by La Mesa City Council Member Patricia Dillard who made a presentation on behalf of the mayor. After the “official” ribbon cutting, attendees were able to take a tour of the property and see the facilities, as well as the sleeping rooms and the first-class spa. Folks then returned to the Legacy Center for the raffle drawings to be awarded to the lucky winners! We want to thank Joannie Ham, owner of La Mesa Floral Design Shoppe for her beautiful floral arrangements that she donated to the raffle. Ken Kostedt took home the evening’s Grand prize. A good time was had by all!
