On Thursday, September 14th the Alpine, La Mesa and the Santee Chambers were hosted by the leadership team of Lantern Crest Senior Living to another great annual evening mixer. We have always enjoyed getting together with the staff of Lantern Crest who always produce such a great evening. Chef Mario pulled out all the “stops” to serve the most delicious selections. He barbecued shrimp and scallops on the grill, offered fresh duck tacos, mini beef Wellington served in pastries, chicken cordon blue in pastries, delicious drinks, wine, beer, fresh lemonade, and tea in large containers were also served. The fresh fruit and cheese trays were plentiful, and the desserts were magnificent. Chef Mario and his team must have had over 10 different types of desserts that we could choose from, and the variety of cake pops offered were a real crowd pleaser. The fun began at 5:00 p.m. for this opportunity to mix and mingle with members from these three chambers. All guests were able to participate and have a chance to win raffle items provided by Lantern Crest Senior Living and the three chambers. The event took place on the upstairs outdoor patio area that was magnificent. This outdoor setting was not only beautiful, but made guests think they were transported to a vacation destination. We want to thank Bobi Thomas, Chef Mario, and the staff for a fantastic evening – can’t wait until next year!
