The La Mesa Chamber, La Mesa Business Assistance Fund received a check from Albert and Jessica Garzon, owners of Albert’s Mexican Food to donate to local La Mesa businesses that were forced to close, due to the pandemic. Albert is a wonderful businessman and wanted to assist local bars and wineries that no longer can be open. He chose – The Regal Bar, Pete’s Place, Helix Brewing Co. and San Pasqual Winery to each receive a check in the amount of $1,000. They were all invited to be at La Mesa Springs Shopping Center to receive an “award” from a local business and the Chamber on Wednesday, July 29th. They had no idea they would receive this check!! What a surprise! Albert brought his entire family to meet the recipients and show his children, what “paying it forward” looks like.
