We have all heard a part of the comment, “we all scream for ice cream.” Well, we had lots of screams on Saturday, October 13th as we gathered to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of Golden Spoon and owners Dionne & Chris Cather. This dynamic Husband and Wife team pulled out all the stops to serve a huge selection of FREE ice cream to guests ALL DAY, from the time they opened at 11:00 a.m. until they closed at 9:00 p.m. The Chamber celebrated this 1-year anniversary with a ribbon cutting at 11:00 a.m. that included Miss Teen La Mesa Kennedy Dirkes. The owners were presented with a recognition certificate from Victoria Floyd, representing Supervisor Dianne Jacob’s office. Mary England presented recognition certificates on behalf of Congressman Duncan Hunter, the City of La Mesa and the Chamber of Commerce. A good time was had by all.
