The Proprietor’s Reserve Wine Bar at the Riviera Supper Club on Tuesdaynight, March 27th had a crowd of fun-loving people. The noise in the room was a testament to the great conversation and networking that was happening. What a great time to mix and mingle and be “up close and personal” with the host and one of the owners, Barbara Rammelsberg. Unfortunately, her husband Michael had to manage a wine dinner that night at their other business and could not join us. Our members look forward each year to this popular annual evening mixer.

Barbara is such a welcoming hostess and entertained everyone with her gracious style and infectious smile. Barbara shared her passion about the quality steaks that they serve at the Riviera Supper Club and the options of cooking your own steak or having the staff cook it for you – just the way you like it. Barbara’s son, Chris served the wine for the evening and her staff continued to bring out delicious full-bodied chicken drumsticks, bacon popcorn, sliders and more! Obviously, the quality of the wine served was beyond compare and guests enjoyed the entire evening. The conversation was fast and furious and that is the measure of a truly great evening! The winner of the evening’s raffle was Andy Kohler, owner of EmbroidMe-LaMesa who donated his prize back to the Chamber. Andy and his Wife, Bethany have always been a supportive Chamber Member and we thank him for his generosity. A hearty “thank you” to Michael, Barbara, son Chris and the staff of The Riviera who made the evening SO special. WE look forward to doing it again in 2019.

We encourage you to stop by the Riviera Supper Club located at 7777 University Avenue in La Mesa for outstanding choice steaks, deluxe side dishes and the largest baked potato that you have ever seen! The Proprietor’s Reserve Wine Bar offers over 86 wines and 27 by the glass. In addition to fabulous wine, the Wine Bar offers cheese plates, tapas or guests may order from the Riviera Supper Club menu. A loud “thank you” to Michael and Barbara Rammelsberg for their hospitality and to our photographer, Sandy Small for joining us and who is always available to take photos of our events – you are the best!
