The La Mesa Chamber of Commerce was proud to host a gift giving activity on Wednesday, July 29th at their office, 8080 La Mesa Boulevard in partnership with the Town & Country Resort & Convention Center. This “Christmas In July” activity allowed toys to be given to the La Mesa City Employees Association who will distribute them to deserving children during this year’s holiday season.

The Town & Country Resort & Convention Center, a valued La Mesa Chamber of Commerce member, contacted the Chamber to inform them that they wished to donate toys to the La Mesa community. “The Town & Country Resort & Convention Center has been a member of the La Mesa Chamber and worked with them for years. We want to make a difference in the lives of children and when I mentioned this to Mary England, President & CEO of the Chamber, she suggested this organization and it is a natural fit for that goal,” stated Alexandra Nath, Senior Catering Sales Manager of the Town & Country Resort & Convention Center.

The Chamber chose The La Mesa City Employees Association to receive these toys and distribute them to La Mesa children in conjunction with their holiday family adoption project. “We are so grateful to receive these toys from the Town & Country Resort & Convention Center, through their partnership with The La Mesa Chamber of Commerce. They will allow us to increase the number of families that we adopt during this holiday season,” stated Maxine Lynch, President of the La Mesa City Employees Association.
