The Montera Ribbon Cutting

When guests entered The Montera on Thursday, October 3rd they were warmly greeted by the staff and were able to place their names in a free raffle jar. We then walked to “party central” – the Coronado Building and were immediately greeted by the sound of live music performed by a guitarist. The room was filled with smiling faces, loud chatter, great Latin infused food and beverages. Residents of The Montera were at the celebration, as well as business leaders. It was wonderful to meet some of these residents and hear first- hand how much they love living at The Montera. They adore the staff, particularly, Executive Director, Mercedes Margritz. Several were on the microphone that evening to speak about their residency and enjoyment at The Montera. A champagne toast was held, as well as a joyous ribbon cutting to celebrate the evening. Tori Floyd, representing Supervisor Dianne Jacob presented Mercedes and her team with a certificate of recognition and Mary England, President & CEO of the La Mesa Chamber, presented certificates from Congressman Duncan Hunter, the City of La Mesa and one from the La Mesa Chamber. It was a warm and wonderful celebration! The Montera is an Assisted Living community customized to support senior residents and provides assisted living, memory care and also short-term stays.
