The Chamber’s final breakfast meeting of 2017 happened on Wednesday, September 27th with featured speaker Senator Joel Anderson. The breakfast was sponsored by Carl Burger Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM World and the San Diego County Water Authority.

The breakfast attendees were introduced to leaders from Carl Burger Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM World who chooses to sponsor each of our breakfast meetings throughout the year. This auto dealer has recently completed a remodeling project that has updated this site to a beautiful beacon on highway 8 as you enter La Mesa. We encourage our members and family members to see this dealership in person – stop by and see the new and used vehicles, have some popcorn and try out the new coffee/cappuccino/tea machine! We are grateful for their continued support. Our additional sponsor, the San Diego County Water Authority, had Construction Manager Neena Kuzmich share information about the Lake Murray to Sweetwater Reservoir Pipeline 3 Relining Project. This project will rehabilitate approximately 4 miles of 66-inch and 69-inch diameter pipe between this area and extend the pipeline’s service life and ensure continued water system reliability. For more information on this project call (877) 682-9283, ext. 7005 or visit the web site: www.sdcwa.org/LM-Sweetwater-Relining.

Prior to the Senator speaking to attendees, Bonnie Stone, Chair of Stoney’s Kids Legacy, awarded the La Mesa Chamber a grant to support their annual La Mesa Military Families Holiday Project. This funding will allow the Chamber to purchase toys, diapers and items for our families of the military that live in military housing in La Mesa. Join us in this worthwhile community project – on December 5th, bring a new unwrapped toy to our party/celebration at BJ’s in Grossmont – go to www.lamesachamber.com – event calendar for more information.
