On Saturday, July 29th between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Pablo, Gabe and Sam Hernandez, the owners of Mattress Makers, hosted a grand opening celebration for their new business located at 8366 La Mesa Blvd. in La Mesa. This event was well received by the many guests joining this celebration. As people entered they were greeted by family members to register and be given a free raffle ticket for the opportunity to win great valuable prizes. During this open house and grand opening, the La Mesa Chamber hosted an “official” ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m. The crowd was energetic and happy to be there, as the photos will attest. This family-friendly affair served delicious sandwiches, great wraps, chips, fresh cookies and soft drinks. The heat of the day did not dampen the atmosphere and only ignited the energy in the room!
The Hernandez brothers and their wives, small children and family are a breath of fresh air to our business community. The sound of laughing children could be heard throughout the store as guests entered. What a joyful sound! These businessmen are committed to creating relationships and are extremely charismatic. Mattress Makers is able to offer a superior mattress at a lower price, based on the fact that they build their own mattresses eliminating the middle man and passing that savings on to their customer. The day was a true community celebration with Rita Sporleder, representing Congressman Duncan Hunter and presenting a certificate of appreciation to Pablo, Gabe and Sam, as well as Senator Joel Anderson sending representatives Sean Sutton and Christina Nosratpour to also present a certificate to them. They were presented their membership plaque by the La Mesa Chamber of Commerce and smiles were seen all around!
